Hanalei CNC Range BW - 500 Twin Set Dual Tab Base

This new design is a high-performance fin that handles various conditions. It features our PHAT FOILS and HOLOFOILS, along with the BLENDED-WING allowing for more efficient HOLOFOILS.

This design takes our elliptical outline and adds a more distinctive tip at the trailing edge to improve feel. With the use of the BLENDED-WING profile, the tip of the fin is a lot thinner, allowing for more flex and speed. The design of all of the fins in this range features a more balanced area for improved drive through all parts of a turn.

The designs feature moderate rake in order to balance the projection with the drive. The larger versions of the series are ideal for use as either twin fins or twinzer setups when coupled with our CNRD canard templates.

All of the fins in this range utilize the BLENDED-WING concept for increased responsiveness. The design of the series employs a base-forward focus, which means that as the fins increase in size, the area moves forward. So the back of the fin at the base is always pinned to the back of the base. 

Initially, the following templates will make up this series—BW-400, BW-500, BW-525, and BW-550. The remaining templates will be added later in the year.

Not shown is a brand-new center fin design we have been working on to compliment these fins. There will be two versions of the center fin—the BW-500CK and BW-463CK, both featuring our unique KAHI cutaways. These center fins will be going into production later in the year
